Ponce City Market, a staple of Ponce, is selling new pairs of shoes on its main floor.
The market is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is selling the shoes of all sizes.
Ponce is known for its handmade footwear.
The shoes are sold for $3,000, and they are available in sizes ranging from small to medium, according to the market’s Facebook page.
They will be on display for 30 days.
Pascual Ochoa, the president of the Ponce farmers market and a local community leader, said that Ponce has lost two or three farmers every year, but he is not concerned about the new crop.
“We have enough bread to last us until December, and there is plenty of wheat, so there will be plenty of room for people to grow their own food,” Ochoas told The Associated Press.
The farmers market was established in the 1950s by a group of young Ponce residents who lived in a former cattle station.
