Modric has suggested he wants to join Serie A after his loan spell at Juventus was extended by six months.
The 20-year-old is one of three Juventus players who have already agreed new deals to stay at the Bianconeri this summer, with Modric’s agent, Paolo Di Canio, also in talks with AC Milan over a new contract.
The two-time World Cup winner was one of two key reasons Juve were able to extend Modric and move for Emre Can from Arsenal.
The Serie A champions have also renewed their contract with their striker for another two years.
Modric was one for whom Juve had a particularly strong offer and was in line to sign a new deal.
However, Modric insists he wants a Champions League place in the coming seasons and wants to see Juve in the top flight again.
“We are talking about a future with the Biancocelesti, we are talking a renewal,” Modric told Sport Italia.
“I will stay at Juventus for six months to see what happens, but I want to play for the Biancolesti.
Juventus have also agreed to extend Di Can’s deal at the club until the end of 2021.”
I want to be a part of the team for the next three years.”
Juventus have also agreed to extend Di Can’s deal at the club until the end of 2021.
Di Can, who has represented Juve throughout his career, was one who had an outstanding loan spell in Serie B last season, scoring eight goals in 26 appearances.
The move was made possible by a loan deal with Parma for the first time this term.
